Gotta love how those clear lenses clean up the appearance. I painted my orange bulbs with a light coat of chrome spray paint. Now you can not see them through the clear lenses, but they still blink orange. It's pretty cool.

Change out the amber bulbs though, just put clear ones in there.

I've thought about it, but I open and close the tailgate about 10 times a day so it probably wouldn't be practical. It'd look nice though.

Isn't it the law to have amber turn signals?

i put clear bulbs in my turn signals... stock clear bulbs though... not the hyperwhite anything.... they light up a very dull white almost yellow looking, and dont turn the housing all yellow on the inside, its a little ahrd to see the detail, but you dont see any amber in the housing... i also have amber leds that are clear when off, but light up amber when on in the corner lenses

Exactly what I did with the bumper lenses. It's like a yellowish OEM colour to it.

You can also buy SilverVision bulbs which are silver in appearance, but blink amber.

For some reason my amber bulb is very hard to see in my corners, and I've got clear bulbs in my turn signals. I like the look of the amber light on the outside of the headlight, I've got clear everywhere else except for the rear of course. It looks pretty good.

Yours looks really good, I like it!

in CO they have to be 'white, amber, or some shade inbetween' but i don't know about NC.

Jonathon, i just saw you live in Fayetteville, i hear the 1/4 track there is intresting. they just don't care about safety, they don't tech some (or all?) cars, you don't have to have a helmet to run faster than 13.9....sounds like it could be scary. nothing that really pertains to clears or toyotas but oh well.

I have chrome bulbs I got from ebay for about $10 a set. I am very happy with them. Don't risk getting a tickett with white bulbs. I see some Hondas whith thoes and I just shake my head. I don't think the cops like that too much.

Just chrome your old orange bulbs with chrome spray paint. It's a lot cheaper and easier.

I've been down there a few times, and yes it does get a bit crazy out there.

I really like those chrome bulbs. Did you get them from an auto store or off the internet?

They are from good ol' Ebay. I've had them in for a year front and rear with no fading or anything like that. They were like $12 to my door.
