Question If I may ask? HELP!

Forgive me but I am going to ask a question about a 96 Camaro v6 I have a very bad coolent leak coming form some where in the front of the motor. I have checked all the hoses and seals on the water pump and around the thermostat and no leaks . If anybody has some educated idea as to where the water may be coming form I would love to hear it

Thanks and sorry for the Chevy question :pat:

Check between the head and the block, could be a bad head gasket, and the freeze plugs.

What year and engine? The newer one with the 3.8 had problems with intake gaskets leaking (or any chevy with 3.1 3.4 and 3.8 engines) Also check for headgasket and water pump leaking.

heres a chebby guy, they are notorious for upper intake manifold gasket leaks and should be your first guess, of coarse its just a guess. good luck. if they were built like toyotas youd just be replacing headgaskets, lol.

do 33 fit in those wheel wells? witch trasfer case are you using? any plans for mudding this weekend?......just kidding good luck with your problem. sounds like intake. I think there is a big gasket pan that screws up from time to time has it been running hot or low oil pressure, both of these will warp, melt, move gasket?

You ain't lying. I am so used to doing intake jobs I could probably do it in my sleep now. I dont understand why GM still uses the gaskets if it is the problem in the first place. I'm so glad I bought a Toy instead of that lifted Tahoe. At least mine is more reliable AND I still have access to tools IF for some reason I had a problem. I pretty much know what's wrong with most Chevys that if I had to buy one it would just be the old K5 or the newer gen corvettes. Even the trusty old Silverados have a problem, at 75K miles the fuel pump goes out. *sighs* If only Toyota had an automotive class nearby then I wouldnt for GM.
