My thoughts exactly guys. Was just curious about it. For $200 they better have someone over to change the oil for you too!

if you bought reg 3 dollar oil filters and changed your oil every 3000 miles, it would take 200000 miles to spend 200 dollars in oil filters....you might as well do it the old fashion way, the way toyota recommends....

Spend that $200 on a by-pass filter system and 6 qts of synthetic. You only have to change the oil every 35,000 miles.

I picked up a Frantz filter kit sometime last year. It's sitting in a box in the garage like a lot of other mods that I haven't had the time or motivation to install. I originally bought it for the 4Runner. Now I'm thinking I'll install it on the Camry since it sees way more miles.

Agree with all of the previous comments. But the company's website is pretty interesting. Seems like they do quite a bit of commercial business.

Hmm... that filter inside of that canister looks like a paper filter of some sort. Sort of like the one that i use in my fish aquarium. The filter was washable, all you had to do was wash and rinse it out and then when it dried, stick it back in. But in the end, the filter was never completely clean after every wash. So eventually the flow of filtration got kinda low. I'm not sure i would do that with an oil filter on my truck!

Deep pleated, duplex woven, 45 micron, T304 stainless steel filter features a large filter area designed to double the filtered oil flow.
