Sequoia Running Boards on a DC Tundra?

Has anyone looked into whether or not Sequoia running boards would fit on a DC Tundra? The dealer has no idea if or when Toyota will be coming out with OEM running boards for the DC Tundras (there's a tubular side step available though) and couldn't determine with any degree of accuracy whether or not Sequoia running boards would fit even though both rigs share the same chassis. Any ideas? Has anyone tried this or looked into it?

uh, I'd call another dealer. most of the limiteds i have seen have factory running boards on the tundra double cab. i doubt the sequoia running boards will fit since my brother has a DC and my dad has a sequoia and the DC running boards are shorter. i can measure it to be sure, but im positive it wont fit.

That is interesting. It seems as though running boards have yet to make it up across the border to Canada. I haven't seen any DC Tundras with running boards though all sequoias have them.

I bought Toyota Running boards from www.toyotaparu4u.com They were about US $500 including shipping. (Not sure if they ship to Canada. I see places that don't and it does not make any sense to me) I put black ones on my white DC and I am real pleased with the way they look. And they are keeping the winter crud at bay. Install was easy although the instructions for wiring for the lights were a little hard to understand. But I did tap the right wire and the lights work great too.

My local dealers were like yours, never heard of running boards for a double cab. I can't remember where I read it, maybe it was with the running boards themselves, but there are some accessories that are not available everywhere in the country. And the running boards are only available in the SE USA.

Good Luck

Thanks Stuart,
I'm going to take a look at the link you provided and see if I can't get any shipped to Canada. Does anyone have any pics of their rigs with the running boards?

That would be great Stewart. The pictures off of toyotaparts4u.com aren't the greatest. As far as the installation went, were they a straight bolt on or was there any drilling?
Thanks again.

I'm sorry Masato my daughter did not bring her digital camera. I will try and find a buddy to take a picture though it might take a few days. As far as installation goes there is no drilling; straight bolt on. The wire harness requires poking a hole in a couple of rubber grommets; very easy. Check this link for the installation instructions, http://toyotaparts4u.com/000163401511.pdf

Thanks Stewart for the PDF'd instruction guide.

Thanks also Slyang1012. I'm looking to stick to OEM running boards but I appreciate you taking the time to do an e-bay query for me.

Cheers.
