looks good, but do you need that much of a box. I am running a JL 13W6 and my box is half the size.you might be able to get the same amount of sound/bass without taking up so much cargo space

Ill be glad to help if you need it

I have a VERY similar install in my runner, my subs face up instead of out, however. I learned a lot from building it myself and would love to help you out. What i did...
built two simple cubed compartments with the top piece stretching out past the wheel wells
traced the outline of the wheel wells out of cardboard then cut them out of 3/4 in MDF and nailed them to the longer piece of wood.
and then carpeted the whole thing
this helps in about three aspects of the enclosure.
1. cubes are very easy to build and are not to bad for sound (any ackward shapes inside the cube might have negative effects
2. The enclosure looks custom
3. (and one of my favorites) Makes two compartments behind the rear seats above the wheel wells where you will be able to put miscellenous things without having them rolling around in front of your subs.

You can check my car out on cardomain... jus search for Shirleyda4runner on the 1996 toyota 4runner section

Good luck

its really not all that big of a deal to build over the wheel wells and the final product is great when you finish it, in the end its up to you but this is what i suggest. I was only 16 when i built and had a serious lack of tools, so if u just put ur mind to it itll come out great.

or you can do something like this with just a little work.....

...ok about 18hours or so on this sucker.

yes I built it from scratch myself and the amp is hidden btwn the back wall of the box and the back of the cab. AND the jack and jack handle is STILL accessable that's behind the box....

its a 3rd gen. basicially, i have a basic box with a flush panel made from 1/4" wood and wrapped in vinyl. its pretty simple to do. just make a template out of cardboard then use a jig saw to cut it out and finish it. if i had more time i would have tried to make something a bit more flashy.

where do you get good vinyl from that will stretch and work with me and match the interior of various vehicles? The vinyl I used on that box for the F-150 above was like trying to stretch an airplane tire over the damn box even with a heat gun. lol However it was the only vinyl that matched the interior.... I need some better vinyl to use next time....lol

bumpin, my brother used to work at sound advice up here but im not sure where he ordered the vinyl from. it seemed to stretch pretty good, but then again it didnt have alot of curves like the enclousre you built for that F150.
