Amp ON wire....splice into...

Amp ON wire....splice into...
I know this should go into Audio, but I want to finish this tonight and my car is torn apart putting my system in.
I've read that the common knowledge is that you splice the blue Amp wire into the YELLLOW wire going into the back of the stereo...right?
