So very close. I have the VIN, the ship arrives 12/26 but the port processing facility in Portland is closed until 1/6! Add another 7-10 days for prep and shipping and I'll be an owner by ~1/17.

I got a silver one here. I've had it since Thanksgiving. I'm quite happy with it, but I haven't taken it offroad or into the snow yet (next week!). Now I'm just waiting for the S/C to be available.

not sure for a fact but i think the s/c is the same for the lc and the tundra/seq.

I'm pretty sure it'll fit w/o a hitch. I think you just have to find someone to install it for ya but i know the s/c is already out for the v8...

just check to make sure it fits ....! if it does, dang you'll be one quick 4runner!

Got mine yesterday.. Limited v8 4WD in Grey. I am extreemly pleased !
It had 3 miles on it, now it has 136 miles :-)

When I figure out how to turn off the damn DRL, I will be really pleased ! The manual says to contact Toyota, but nobody at Toyota seems to know.

Look in the manual/fuse box and see if there is a fuse that is dedicated to the DTRLs. If so, give it a pull and your set. if not, guess you have to wait and see what toyota says...

Naw, that won't work.... They are part of the turning signals. And they don't have a dedicated fuse.

I don't mind them during the day, but there are times (during the night and day) when I need them off. ie: I don't want to sit on the side of a street with the motor running and have those damn lights on.

If I cannot get a responce from Toyota... I'm thinking of having someone tap the DRL/Turn signals with a switch so I can turn them on or off when I desire.

If you are looking to sit on the road (or whatever), like the 02's the 03's DRL *should* shut off either by opening the drivers door or after certain set time which ever is first if the ignition is turned off.. Try it and see..

'03 Limited owner

Hi all. We took delivery of our '03 V8 4WD Limited about a month ago. It's Titanium/Stone. ~2K miles on it already.

Merry Christmas.

We seam to have more 03' owners than I thought, glad to hear it though, makes for a even more diverse crowd, and we get to know the 03' better than just the sometimes odd looking thing we see at the dealerships. No offense to any 03' owners please, I love th Ltd. look , I'm jsut taling about the grey cladding on some models.

Welcome to the board Karl, glad to have you join us here. It's a great comunity, stick around and make yourself at home.

Well Merry Chirstmas eveybody, I'm heading off to bed now so Sant can come and visit.

Mine doesn't, either when I engage the emergency brake or open the door.. Though it does if the motor is shut off.

Stump1883: I think your going to see a lot more... They are wonderful auto's... I know a lot of the 3rd Gen people hate them. But, I have driven quite a few 3rd Gens and I think this is a much better platform. The V8 hauls ass for a full time 4wd. The X-REAS is worth having too.

As soon as JAOS starts shipping a bullbar, I'm going to get one and stick some Hella 500's on it <G>

Exclamation Vroom

Just thought I would add that it does very nicely driving over 100mph...
Not uncomfortable or scary at all. Though I wouldn't do it if there is any wind... Nice thing, when you let off the gas, it slows down like a brick (be it a nice looking brick.) You can almost watch the gas gauge move too :-)

any of you guys with the 03's find any all weather floor mats yet? I found a few places online, but not sure if they are just passing the 02's off as 03's. If you found any, post where you bought them from.
