What kind of locker?

What locker should I get for my 2000 Taco v6? I want some selectable so I'm not locked up all the time. Any replies would be helpful, thanks.

ARB Air Locker, only the best! Do a quick search for locker.

Yeah, if you want a selectable locker ARB is probably the way to go. Or you can swap in the entire rear end from an e-locker equipped Taco.

No, he can't. If he has an open diff'd Taco, he needs either an ARB, RD89, or the whole axle from an e-locked Taco.

I have two ARB's. Buy once, cry once.

I thought you could retrofit an e-locker? The link is dead now but there was a section in here that someone had retrofitted one in his 4Runner wasnt there?

Nope. The NON-TRD axle uses an 8.4" ring while the TRD and 4Runner axles use the 8" ring.

My ARB RD23 was around $650. The ARB compressor was $200, but there are other options out there for compressors, it all depends on what you want to do with the compressor.

Search "arb locker"

RD23 V-6 8" Toy diffs

RD90 7.5" Toy front diffs

RD89 8.4" Taco/Tundra/T-100 rear diffs

$650 is pretty reasonable. If you look around on PBB, you can snag a deal from a vendor or a used unit.

That's what I meant by 'rear end' i.e. not just the diff. Sorry for any confusion!
