New lift... right is lower??

I recently lifted my 4runner https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/i-went-mall-crawling-today-39163/ I noticed today that the right rear is a whole inch lower than the left (drivers). Thats from the bottom of the fender flare to the ground. Did I do something wrong, or can anyone explain this?

Tacomas are like that... I forget which way they lean though.
Most people say it has to do with the gas tank or the fact that you'll always have a driver but not necessarily a passenger.

Is that the case with the 4runners too?

Swap your rear springs from R to L and L to R and you'll sit level. You're actually SUPPOSED to do that w/ OME coils about once a year (direct from ARB)...

Wow, that's a new one. Usually people are lower on the left b/c they put the taller coil on the PS instead of the DS.

Andy, that's an interesting recommendation, something else I hadn't heard before. I'm not sure I understand that - it would make sense if both coils were the same hight, but since they're different I don't get it.

But I thought the tall spring was supposed to be on the gas tank side?? These are BRAND NEW springs too. I can see rotating them in a year or so, but I just put these in!

Yes, the taller spring is supposed to be on the gas tank side (ds). That's why I'm stumped. How long have they been in?

They have been in for about a week and a half. Since I dont have a panhard drop bracket, could my panhard be pulling down the ps? Maybe I just need some trim packers?

You could probably correct it with trim packers. I think the panhard drop has more to do with centering the axle.

You gotta make sure you are measuring on a truly level surface as the body will sit level even on a somewhat unlevel surface and could account for your difference. I didn't notice your truck sitting unlevel when you were at my house.

Seriously?!? That's insane! A completely topped off tank (18.5 gal), including fill line, only weighs approximately 120.25 lbs. . That can't be enough weight to justify rotating springs, considering the tank sits just off-center inside the drivers side frame rail?!?

If that's the case, I need to reconsider pickup something other than OME's in the future...

I'll check again and make sure it was level ground. Yea... I didnt notice it leening until yesterday! Look what I just read "Although these coils are marked D/S for Driver’s Side and P/S for Passenger’s Side, these designations apply to Right Hand Drive Vehicles and may require opposite fitment to left hand drive vehicles. As a general rule, the taller OME coil should be installed on the same side of the vehicle as the taller OE coil." -http://www.drivetrain.com/EMU/emuinstinstr.html

That's true about putting the taller coil on the side w/ the tank. Normally, a runner has the driver on the right and the tank on the left and it sits even. For LHD vehicles, the tank stayed on the same side, so now you have a 120# gas tank and a 200# driver on the same side.

ARB admits that the OME springs sag, and over time, most aussies running them will rotate them cause one side will sag. I don't know what your problem is though. Did you install both conical bumpstops? Did you forget one? That will be a half-inch if you forgot one. Also make sure the driver side spring is properly seated on both the top and bottom perches. If it's not seated correctly, then it will sit HIGHER and give you unevenness. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what to tell you.
