Anyone know how to disable the airbags for the passenger side ('03 4-Runner Sport)? I haven't been able to find the info in the owner's manual. I'm sure it probably is but it seems to elude me. Thanks for any help.

A switch has to be installed and it's expensive and has been discussed before. I don't know the details, that's why I referred you to the search button.

 

That explains why I haven't been able to find anything on it then. I figured there was already some way of disabling it (I know other cars have that). I appreciate the info.

 

No prob. If I recall correctly, it was in the neighborhood of $1000 for a dealer to do the work.

 

This topic was probably listed on the board before it was upgraded last year. After the upgrade, you couldn't access any of the old posts due to a change in the search system database.
