This little truck could be sweet with a fresh paint job and some body work, Ive never seen a 1970 any where! It is pretty ugly though

thats funny!

gangstafied, chop the top, lower it about 4" throw some chome wires under it add a tail and about 4 18" subs with about 10,000 watts of power.... or take the front end off of a Lexus and hook it up YO OR better yet throw some 24" wheels under it have the interior done in 2 tone Italian leather, then put in the 18" subs, hydraulics and about 4 lcd monitors with X box and dvd players.... thats too much.. it is kindof a neat old truck though.

Too bad its not in VA, that'd be worth it for a commuter truck, no worries about dents either!

'72 with a 20R? sounds like an engine swap or the 70s were just a blur the 20R was unveiled in '75. i believe the body style that ended in '78 began around '73 or '74, but i'm not sure. the hiluxes in the early 70s probably had a a bunch of changes each year. are you sure your truck didn't just have an 18R? they look kind of similar to a 20R

During the '72 oil crisis that little pickup was worth it's weight in gold. Today, its worth about $200-400 dollars.
