Mikes Mod of the day
So far this week I have:
Removed my Running Boards
Removed my rear bumper along with the quarter panel extensions
Changed the fuel filter
and today I took the presure washer to the stripes and removed them, Now I need to take some wax and grease remover to the glue that was left behind.
Now when can I find the time to cut my front valance?????

LOL, just pokin at ya! (But that's a good point - adding a chrome skull shift knob is not a "mod," it's just an accessory. A k&n filter is not a mod, it's a replacement service part. Removing running boards - that's just excercising good sense... Now, torching off the IFS and putting in leaf springs - THAT's a mod!) ;-)

I took my stripes off with a hair dryer and goo-gone...man was that a PIA. hair dry plastic off, soak sticky left behind for 15 min or so, slowly and carefully scrape off with finger nail. As long as your carefull you won't noticably scratch it (fingernails are softer than clear coat, one thing i learned from detailing) I head about this great stuff called like rb-23 or something that will take it right off....Either way, that's one of the first things I did after installing roof rack rails. Way to go!!

The wax/grease remover is also great stuff to have around. PPG DX-330 and a plastic scraper, Didnt do a thing to the paint.

No more mods for a while, I started the hardwood floor so unless I'm working on that Momma will kick my ars.
I recycled some Rock Maple from my sisters house so now I have to plane the top to make sure its flat, Fix some of the Tongue / groves. The border is going to be oak so I will have to go through the whole process again, I'm also thinking about a walnut strip between the oak and the Maple.
I purchased a "Belsaw" 8" planer at an auction this weekend for 25 bucks, also got a ton of oak and walnut for another 10 bucks so I will be able to put 3/4 in hardwood in my kitchen and d-room for less than 200 all said and done.
Momma will be very happy and ya know what they say about Momma being happy

How about driving on the interstate at around 65mph. I have a hard time keeping that speed, especially when going up a hill. I know this will always be a problem, but I feel like I put it to the floor to climb a hill and keep a steady speed. Will changing the filter help me out?

Sadly changing the fuel filter didn't really help me out in that department; my truck hates going up hills
