Q about FZJ80 Cruiser Wheels on a 3rd Gen 4Runner...

Has anybody ever tried any FZJ80 Landcruiser or LX 450 OEM wheels on a 3rd gen 4runner? I'm looking for alloy options when I eventually go up to 285's...

FZJ80's and LX 450's have 16x8's w/ 4.5" backspacing...

Jacksilb has done it. See this thread: Anyone running FZJ80 Wheels on a 3rd gen?. Good luck looking, they are hard to come by.

Oh man.. that's what I was looking for. For some reason it didn't come up when I searched though. Thanks for the info. I have a decent line on some wheels, so I'm wanting to make sure some 285/75's will work w/ about 2.5-3" of lift. I may have to do a 1" BL to clear them, but I really like the OEM FZJ80 wheels. I may even paint them a gunmetal finish after I get some... We'll see.

BL+Sahara Bar=Disaster...have fun! I do think you'll need that extra inch. Wtih my 2" BL + OME I can get the rear tires to stuff all the way into the wells and rub like no other.

Correct me if I'm wrong..but aren't OEM wheels at 4.375 backspacing, making the 4.5" closer to the frame rails? Oh wait, it's an 8" wheel.. nevermind.....I think it makes sense......

Yup, a little closer (0.125") but a full inch wider.

I've been looking around for these too, I think they would work better with some .5" spacers. I would really like soem LX450 Wheels but they are as rare as gold.

I have been looking for about 6 months for a set of LC wheels and have not been able to close the deal. I even went so far as to see how much brand-spanking new ones cost......that idea didn't last long.

Wow. I feel special then - I got REALLY LUCKY. I've located a used set about 5 or 6 hours since entertaining the idea earlier today...

Yeah, I'm getting the LC wheels I've found, and I have some 285's located as well. I currently have some Dueler M/T's in 265/75-16 that I've had less than a month and have less than 2k miles, but I already have a buyer for them and my OEM 5-spokes wheels... I kinda "fell" into the Dueler's since they were local and a good deal. Now I want to do it the RIGHT way...

Lance,

If you are really serious about these. I hang with a few LC guys and I found a few sets here about 6 months ago. Let me know. I'll try to dig up the contacts.

Jim: I would appreciate you doing that for me. I am serious about getting a set of the LC OEMs for the 4Runner if the price and wheel condition are right. Generally, what kind of shape were the wheels in?

LOL... I now have TWO sets located... I'm getting one and someone already PM'd me and they're more than likely getting the second set. If I find a third, I'll post it here and let you guys fight over it....

I never went and looked at them, so I can't be certain about condition. If I remember correctly, avg. price for used ones is $700. I found a set that a guy was willing to let go for $350.

Bama, what are they going for out there?

LOL... I'll tell you AFTER I have a set in hand. $700 is absolutely insane. $350 is still a lot for 10 year old OEM wheels...
