Question Leaking Tranny Question

Hello everyone. I just finnished (2 weeks ago) rebuilding my 3.slow. I also put in the Downey headers and exhaust. Well, I now have a tranny leak. I think it is comming from the topside of the tranny. It leaks down from a place I can't see, then drips all over the HOT crossover pipe. It was really cool hearing the new exhaust and feeling the increased power, ripping along at 80 mph on 8 East when I smell "something hot" and look out my rear mirror to see a nice cloud of burning tranny fluid following me down the freeway.

I did have the tranny including the torque converter drained completely for over a month. Could the seals have possibly dried up and sprung a leak. It only seems to happen when I haul butt, long periods of high revs and high speeds. It looks like I will have to drop the tranny now and have a looksy. Anyone have any suggestions?
