When I stop, my break pedal is firm at first then a couple of seconds latter the pedal get's soft? What's the problem? Is there air in my lines?

 

Any recent brake work? If not, it sounds like the Brake Master Cyl is going out.

 

Does it slowly sink all the way to the floor? If so, it's the MC.
If not, I have no clue as mine does the same thing.

 

I recently changed the pad but I thought I did a good job on bleeding the break's. Then again maybe NOT!

It doesn't sink all the way to the floor, it just gets soft.

 

If you recently changed the pads and bled the brakes, then you could have some air in the lines. When you change the pads, you really do not need to bleed them unless you expose the system to air somehow.

Time for a rebleed!

It sound like you broke your brake. Breaking your brake is not a good thing to do.

Id say a new master cylinder, unless you got air in the lines. The best thing i have spent money on so far is a one man brake bleeder. It was like 10 bucks at shucks. all it is is a tube that runs to a reservoir (sp?) that has a magnet on it so you can attach it to the truck. Just hook it up pump the brakes a little and your all done! Its definately better than laying on the ground, in the rain, getting brake fluid all over. Man i was mad that day!

 

I will go get one of those and rebleed my breaks the right way!

 

Mine did the same thing.. had them rebled and they were fine

 

Did you bleed them yourself? I saw in the rear were the left and right break lines meet their is a nipple, is that to bleed both at once?

 

I'm not sure.. I had my mechanic do it.. it only cost like 15 bucks
