I've been thinking about going SC for the last week or so, ever since I wanted to blow by a Jeep grand cherokee and couldn't....For those of you that are SC, is it worth it?

I told my wife that it was a necessary part for the engine and quickly change the subject. This way if she says I never told her I can refer back to the conversation.

Yes it is a 2nd Gen. They said they have sold 3 today and have about 30 left at that price.

I beleive we went over this already "honey its cheaper then $15k truck a bought a few months ago"

or don't call it supercharger .. call it an "increased fuel enhancer" .. and then say "it increases gas milage" .. your not lying .. it really does increase it .. but ya gotta use super.

When you say super, are you saying 93 octane? Does anything over 90 work?

Without an ignition controller (SMT, SplitSecond, etc) then you want the highest octane you can find to stay away from ping.

Some folks (but not many) have had NO problems with ping on lower octane fuel without a timing box. Personally, I can't explain what the difference would be.

One thing that will definitely help is to close up your deckplate and be sure to do the Free FMU mod. Also check this thread for info on the IAC check valve:
