Hazard Lights switch
Howdy. Trying to figure out if I have a problem.
1995 4runner.
I can't remember but it seems like when the Hazard Lights switch on dash is depressed, the switch itself should also be (flashing) RED. Is that correct?
I have tried two switches, and neither lights. The lights themselves all work normally though. I don't recall that switch NOT supposed to light up.
I don't see a lamp internal to the Hazard Switch (H6) in the EWD book.
Thanks

Hazard button doesn't flash
I have a volvo that does, so maybe thats where my confusion is.
There IS a small bulb, but apparently its ONLY on the 'Illumination' circuit (pins 2 and 3 for homegamers). It's also burnt out. Was skeered that I had screwed something else up unintentionally.
Really kickin' m'self for NOT starting a build page. At least could have documented my mistakes and intentions. Might still dazzle you all with my brilliance. Or maybe just put schematics where I can't loose them. lol
What part of PI did you go to? Visited Davao upon a time. That bay would make a great sail location.

I have found it’s usually not in there very tight, now I could be wrong and if it’s never been removed it could be tight but I have had luck with a thin card such as an insurance card or a very thin piece of plastic. It’s worth a shot before having to party remove the cluster surround panel. Which isn’t very hard either but I would try to gently get it out first
edit: if the switch above or below has the factory blank cover you can pop that out and then use the hole to pop the switch out. In trucks it’s blank but I can’t remember if 4Runners have anything in the other spot.
