1988 SR5 pickup, 430K
It has few dents and leaks, but it still runs OK.
I am looking for a kit to repair the suspension support of my driver seat cushion.
4 years ago, after nearly 400k miles, I was sitting very low. Something wasn't quite right. I removed the bench seat and studied it. Some of the stretchers were broken, and the forward rod was broken. I replaced the rods and fabricated new stretchers from heavier wire which was not hardened steel.
Now, 4 years later, I am sitting low again. Obviously, some parts broke.
Does any supplier sell such a rebuild kit? I don 't even know what it might be named. I searched widely four years ago and didn't find anything.
Thanks for any assistance.

You could get some of that lawn furniture nylon strapping to replace those DIY suspension. It's just stretched tight and screw at the ends into the frame. Sure there is a Youtube vidoe showing how that is done. .
Do you have a local upholstery shop? I know there are a few shops that will redo furniture and they might have some good ideas for material and methods.
I do like JoeS's idea for simplicity and cost though. My leather needs to get redone at some point (not all that bad but the cracks and minor tears irk me) so I'm interested to see what people come up with.
My SR5 bucket seats have a similar design. After decades of driving, the wires began to sag. I cut a 1/4" thick plywood piece to fit between the springs and rested on top the wires. It still has the spring suspension, but not the sagging in the middle. It's firm but not too hard.
Yesterday, I posted a crude drawing my my springs and stretchers. I don't know where it went. Maybe "quick reply" couldn't handle it. I try again. Sorry about the oversized attachment.
Here’s a photo of the seat frame when i had mine apart. You can make replacement wires and probably purchase comparable springs from a good hardware store.
