1990 long bed measurement

Anyone know the numbers for a long bed? It’s easy to find the total length but I’m looking for the distance from the front of the bed to the center of the axle and from the center of the axle to the trailing edge of the bed. This is for my dually project I hope to finish this year.

After a ton time digging around on google I have found nothing. One thing I did find is that 4 years ago I asked the same question. Nobody knew anything back then either.

Thanks for the reply

Unfortunately that site doesn’t offer any useful information. Its info starts with the 95 model year. 1993 was the last year for the long bed. Also, I would really like to find the distance from the front of the bed to the axle.

This is my project if it helps

Sorry. I mis-read the year in your original post. You're right it's not of use.

My truck is an extended cab short bed, but I will make the measurements for you when I get home. The front of the bed to the center of the axle distance should be the same, I would think. The difference between the short and long bed is 12 inches.

My measurement from the front outside edge of the bed to the center of the axle is 35 inches. From the center of the axle to the back edge of the bed is 41.5 inches. Mine is the 6 foot bed though, not the 7 foot bed.

Thanks for the reply. When I get home from work I'll get out my tape measure and see what I have to work with. I'm hoping that a regular long bed will work for me but I'm probably going to have to build a bed custom.

That's a nice Pic. I've had that on my computer desktop since I started this project. I'm definitely interested in some dually fenders.

On the frame rail I have 50 inches from the cab to center of the axle. Cab to first bed mount is 4.5 inches. First bed mount to second bed mount is 23.5 inches.
