Would anyone own a 1987 4wd (truck or 4Runner) 22rec, manual trans with Cal. spec and still have the hood emission decals? looking for both the emissions decal and the vacuum tubing schematic. This is a pretty narrow application, 1986 and 1988 are different.
if you do, if you could post a screen shot I'd be appreciative. Thank you
I can't remember where I got the photo, but I re-created a sticker from that. They're not California spec, and without more research I can't tell you the year. If it helps, great. If not ...
That number in the lower left corner is actually the last 5 digits of the part number. Mine would be 3D030. It’s probably very close to what mine should look like. But I’d love to see one just to make sure. Thank you very much for the image, it’ll be useful👍🏼
On Efi vehicles I don’t think there’s much difference, if any, between Fed and Cal
I need 3D030. Regarding my hood, That’s the problem, I don’t have any decals to go off of. There’s a few companies that can replicate them, but the one I was speaking with, BLVinyl was hoping to get a image to use. My hood was replaced at one time and the decals never put back on.
Googling has so far has been remarkably unproductive. I did find the Toyota TSB that gives the part numbers for the California emission decals and that confirmed I had the right numbers.
old87yota, that’s actually one I need👍🏼 I was on their site, but musta missed that one. The 3D030 decal is the emissions info one. You know, has the timing, idle speed, etc, etc.
That gets me half way there😁
Its probably very similar, if not identical. The only difference I imagine is at the bottom besides RN and CAL would be 4WD. This one, the 3D020, was for the Cab and Chassis Rn 22RE CAL. Once EFI dominated there really wasn't any difference between FED and CAL emissions. Oh sure, you got charged more for a CAL-emission vehicle(the sur charge was on the window sticker) but I don't think Toyota got that money.
I got enough info with everyone's help to have mine recreated. So thank you everyone. It was kind of nit picky, but I just wanted the most correct one I could get.
Here's a link to a Toyota TSB that gives the suffix part number for CAL emissions stickers. For a while there you had to fill out a form to get replacement decals. DMV charges people to bring vehicles in from out of state, and back then DMV had a pretty poor computer data base. They relied on those decals to determine where the vehicle was first sold to see if a fee was going to be levied. Someone figured out for a few dollars they could replace the FED with a CAL and DMV would never
know, and they were right. Toyota TSB emission labels
