Unhappy Oil filter concern

I have read several posts about oil filters as far as this one is better than that one. I presently own a '93 4Runner and a '95 ext. cab , both with 3.0 V-6. I have used factory filters so far with both trucks over 100,000 miles on each. Is there a better filter to use ? If so please inform , I'm always open to new ideas. THANKS

OEM filters are the way to go. Some say that Napa makes good ones as well. Amsoil works well with others. If you've used OEM so far then I say stick with what got you there... but most of all stay away from Fram.

Another filter that I would vote for is Purolator PureOne!!

I am curious if anyone uses the superexpensive K&N filters, most stores dont even carry them for our rigs?

Why stay away from Fram? I use them in my 82 pickup.

There was a thread a while back and I *think* someone posted an analysis of how truly bad it was at filtering.

I use Carquest premium filters. Seem decent and have a bypass in case the filter becomes clogged.

Regular oil changes is most important. I've seen toyota's run over 1/4 million miles on frams with zero engine problems. Personally, I'm sticking with toyota filters. They're cheap and effective.
