1990 T4R 4x4 auto SR5 6 with rear anti-lock?

Recently replaced the brass front spindle hub bushing on passenger side and soon plan to do the Driver's side.

Came across a used 86-95 front spindle/hub/knuckle and the description notes for front ABS?

While I was repairing the passenger side I did not find/notice any components on my 90 T4r that appeared would have any connection with the current 'Rear Anti Lock' system??

Considering purchasing the used unit as a spare but not clear whether the ABS feature would matter??

Comments/ suggestions appreciated!!

 

Some early 2nd 4Runners were equipped with rear wheel only ABS.

IFS spindles from those are no different than the spindles on trucks with no ABS at all.

Some later production 2nd gen 'Runners were equipped with 4wheel ABS that includes tone rings on the front hubs and a spindle mounted sensor.

Not absolutely sure that a 4 wheel ABS type spindle would, or would not work, but if it was me, I'd get a correct spindle, of the type without 4 wheel ABS.

There's got to be plenty used ones available.

 

I thank you for the prompt response and information. I will pass on the 4x4 hub spindle components. Received notice from Pic N Pull where all their yards are offering discounts on various used vehicle parts, intend checking their inventory and their are any recent Toyota additions may make a salvage shopping trip.
