Manual Hub Swap

Manual Hub Swap
I'm getting ready to do the manual hub swap on my '97 4Runner and was wondering if anyone had a complete list of parts that I will need to order from Toyota?
I know I need from a wrecking yard:
- Manual hub knuckles
- Manual hub axles
- Manual hubs
Also, I have read that it can and has been done, but I've been unable to find a write-up of how to do the swap and keep ABS.
Thanks

You have to use your spindle, your ABS sensor, your backing plate, manual hub guts, manual hub axles (with the tone ring from your axle) and manual hub bodies.
There have been a few writeups, not sure if they still exist on this website anymore.

You'd need:
Spindles, hubs, cv's
#5
And then I need the SST to torque the brass nut to 203ft-lbs.
Thanks

Your gonna need a lot of force to press them out

Are the bearings and seals the same for ADD and manual hub vehicles?
Thanks

i'm looking into to doing this in the near future as well.
so basically if i want to keep abs, i need to get
from a junk yard
manual hub assembly from a 95-04 taco with manual hubs
and the axle shafts
then pull my axles out, and plus the others in, then install the manual hubs?
or do i need the spindles too?
what i don't understand is why the bearings need pressed
or are the wheel hubs (the part that has the studs) a different spline thank the axles for the manual hub setup?

The bearings have to be pressed becuase you need the install the manual hub guts into your ABS spindle, to be able to retain ABS. When you press the guts out, it ruins the bearing and retainer.
Also, the ADD hub spines are larger and a different number than those of the Manual hubs.

The easiest way is indeed to get the complete diff, however if you can find someone willing to sell just the non-ADD jack shaft assy, you can bolt the jack shaft on to your diff.
