Painting Emblems today!!! w/pics this time

ok well now that I've got the spray painting bug. I'm doing the next step today.

here is a shot of before I get started

and here is a pic after I removed the emblems.

right now I'm scaping the glue out of theback of the emblems and getting ready to sand with 300 grit sand paper, and then prime them. I looked for etching primer, but they didn't have any in stock. I went to three stores. So I'm just going to use regular sandable primer.

I forgot to pick up some glue .. so I'm going to go pick some up now. It has two coats of primer, two coats of paint, and the first coat of enamal. This little project should be done in an hour.

I looked at some of the black emblems that the offer on the 04 Camry SE, and I was suprised that they are spray painted!

After I saw that, I am seriously thinking of doing Bob's poor man's black pearl emblem mod this weekend while the wife is out of town.

What are you using to reattach them to the gate? I switched from gold to chrome, but have been told to use double tape, emblem adhesive or some other adhesive I never heard of and can't remember now. Don't want to use anything that might hurt the finish if I mess up!
