My rear window latch broke, piece that attaches to window. Plastic of all things and not a whole lot of it considering its under constant stress. Anyone made a metal repair piece?
I know I can purchase a new one however I see on the 1st gen Tacomas there is aluminum repair kit available for the weak link.
update. Piece of square stock(property stake😁. And about 20 minutes. Drill press, bandsaw. Polished with die grinder
I believe you can still buy those. I found one for my 97 t100. I forget if its a dealer part or aftermarket tho. Price wasnt bad either. But still plastic.
