22R-TE Radiator

Could anyone recommend a 22R-TE radiator? Having a hard time finding one with a Turbo cooling line port at the top. Can you find these anywhere?

Drill tap hose barb and some thread lock...

Find your local radiator shop and have them rehab the one you have.

That’s what I’ve been able to find too. My rad is too far gone and causing me to run too hot for my comfort. Any manufacturer suggestions for a replacement?

Several parts houses, including Rock Auto, list several radiators available for the 22RE-T. Can't comment about specific manufacturers but all of them look to be at least decent quality.

LCE Performance might be able to help you. They have one listed on their website: https://www.lceperformance.com/Heavy...-p/1093069.htm

They are nice guys, and fabricate in-house, so they would probably be able to install the fitting if it is not already there.
I have a similar situation, as I'll need a radiator for my 86 Turbo 4Runner soon.

If it's a turbo 4 runner radiator, it will have the auto transmission lines
The only way you could get the Turbo 4 runner was with the AUTO Trans.

I believe Yota1 (209yota1.com) used to have one. I bought one a few years ago but I don't see it listed anymore. It might be something they just don't have listed on the website at the moment.

In any case, you can always add the hose barb to the top of the radiator yourself, or have a shop do it.

Stock it came with a 3 row 17 3/4 inch rad, so isn’t that essentially a V6 rad? Rockauto has a CSF 2314 listed for a Turbo (only under 4Runner, not Pickup) but it’s a smaller core height at 15 3/4. Wonder if the CSF 2055 or 56 would be closer to stock, having the extra height or would it really matter?

From memory it's 2386(?) That CSF specs for the -ret. It has brass tanks and a good flat spot to add the water port..

CSF has good customer service , popularly, give them a call.

The customer service at CSF weren’t much help when I contacted today. Maybe the holiday staff can’t be bothered...I’m looking more at the CSF 2056 that is specked for the V6. It seems, from what i can find on forums anyway, that this is a direct fit and could very well be what I already have as I can’t seem to find the specs for a 22RTE OEM rad.

If you can hold off a few days, I'm driving out to pay my storage and will drag out the old radiator I think it has a part number tag.

That would be awesome, cheers for that. The LCE rad adds the coolant line and it’s a direct fit but I believe OEM (can’t confirm but it’s what I took outta mine) is 17 3/4 core length not 15 3/4. A lot of people seem to run the CSF Rads which are also a direct fit. This is a little frustrating

Thank you for that. Is that 17 3/4 tall core or overall rad?
