3.0 valve adjustment

3.0 valve adjustment
I have a 1994 3.0. Had #3 cylinder low on compression. The exhaust valve had no clearance. Looks like .026 would get it in specs. My experience with ATV is when the intake goes out of adjustment that far, the valve lost its hardness and you have to do a valve job. Where can I get a shim kit,so I can get all the valves done right? Looks like 34mm shims.

Yes, you're gonna have to do a valve grind.
Shim assortments are not so easy to come by.
I was lucky to get a 34mm shim kit on Ebay. It was only the second time in three or four years that I have seen one come up.
Just in time too, because I am presently engaged in a head gasket/valve grind job on my '95 Runner.
Machine shops often have an inventory of shims on hand, or they resort to grinding the valve stem ends, or thinning existing shim pucks to adjust clearances.
Individual shims of all thicknesses are available from Toyota, of course.
