Question New P/S Pump Leaking Slightly

Hey All, I put in a new P/S Pump and noticed that there's a very slight leak coming from the bottom of the main hose that comes from the reservoir and screws into the pump itself. In searching around I've only found one photo that may reference something helpful: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f115...e-seat-307564/

I didn't have a part that attaches to the hose on the pump side at all; it's just the hose and the pump.

I have tightened the threaded side as tightly as it will go - it's still leaking a bit.

I just replaced the alternator as well so I don't want a big leak to spring up and risk destroying the new alternator. I also don't want oil spewing everywhere, as lovely as that sounds. Am I supposed to have that gold convex piece, specifically? If so, does anyone know of a part code for it as I've searched around looking for something that may fit that description and have come up with nothing.

not sure exactly what answer you are looking for. if your hose is leaking replace it, or it its not tight, tighten it. if you have aftermarket generic hose clamps i recommend throwing them in the trash and getting the toyota ones.

Well, I'm looking for an answer to the question I asked:

Is there a gold convex piece that attaches to the main/large reservoir-to-pump hose on the pump side that screws into the flared end of the hose?

I don't have that piece and the link I posted shows a photo of one yet I've seen no reference to anything of the like otherwise, anywhere else, whatsoever.

The hose is not aftermarket, nor is it loose. Hose clamps don't apply here.

is #44338 the part you want? and I assume the associated o-rings?
The part number for 44338 is 44308-35020. I used my 1987 4Runner info to look this up

Hey Jimkola,

Thanks for the response! I'm just now seeing your message for some reason but it's by far the most useful. The part I was referring to is #44343 on the exploded diagram you posted and it's actually included in the P/S Seal Kit sold by 22RE Performance. That little seat keeps a whole lots of ATF off of the alternator, that's for sure. Thanks again.
