EGR valve connector question

I am working on a 1995 3vz engine swap into my 88' 4runner and am trying to figure out the EGR electrical connection. The connector on the engine harness has a plastic cap on it that shorts the pins. Is this indeed the engine wire harness connector for the EGR valve? I also have a single pin connector on the harness in close proximity to this connector but I think that's for the AC compressor.

The Connector to the EGR valve is the EGR Gas Temp sensor http://web.archive.org/web/200605091...43egrgaste.pdf I believe (according to the FSM) that it is only present on California vehicles, and probably not at all in 1988 (the manual linked is for a '93). Meaning you don't need to/can't connect it to your '88 ECM. But I will defer to those with more electrical experience on that vintage vehicle.

Thanks. I'll just put the plastic cap back on the green plug and leave the EGR Gas Temp sensor unplugged.
