That is what I was aiming for. I wanted a 4" susp. lift, 2" coil spacer lift, & the 3" body lift. But even as good as it would have looked I would not have liked it. I love showing my big rig off in the city but I love to play in the mountains. cant do that if your rig is to tall. Even with 7"s of lift I have issues going where guys with smaller & no lifts go. they can straddle a hillside and I cant. I would tip right over. So be careful what you wish for. My wish came true just shy of 2"s but I regret go so big.

Here's a non-lifted measurement for you:
Front top of rim to bottom of fender = 13.5"
Rear top of rim to bottom of fender = 12"

I can't wait to get rid of my sag, I'll have lifted measurements next week hopefully.

4th Gen, but here it is...........

Center of hub: Front 23"
Center of hub: Rear 25.1/4

I normally wouldn't put it on this post, but I just finished the added lift about two hours ago!

Dont let me discourage you. I mean if you mainly stick to town then go big. But if you mainly love sticking to the trails just beware of how high you go and where you go. Its bada$$ having a big rig.

How about we set a standard here. Such as measuring from the ground to the center of the both fender wells? That will give us an average of what the overall lift of the vehicle is. For example, I may have larger tires than some, but a smaller lift than others, and vice-versa. This measurement will take into account larger tires, suspesnsion and body lift.

I measured 42 1/4" in the front from the ground to the bottom center of the fender flare.

Then I measured the rear setup, from the ground to the bottom center of the fender flare.

Front: 42 1/4"
Rear: 45 1/4"

avg: 43 3/4"

I'm running Nittos 295/75R16 (33.5x11.5.16"
Front: Pro Comp 4" lift in front with Downey Adjustable coil overs
Rear: Custom All-Pro 5.5 spring pack
1" Roger Brown BL

SteveO-

Hey, thanks for setting that standard, cause now i can post...dont have time to run to my rig.

4th gen w/ 315/70R17's, soon to be 325/50R22's (slightly larger)

Front, modified Revtek coil spacer kit: 39.25"
Rear, combination of Revtek spacer and Downey coil: 41.25"

Guess that puts me at an average of 40.25"...and I can guarantee ya I wont be going any higher.

Ground clearance under the front axle is nearly 15" compared to just over 9" stock.

Billy
