So my 03/91 V6 4Runner's power steering box is leaking from the input shaft seal area. I plan to rebuild the box but there is confusion around which seal kit to use. Apparently there was a change to the power steering box in mid 1991 and there are different kits for each. I have the '91 4Runner FSM but it makes no mention of any difference. I have searched this and other Toyota forum sites but have not found the info I need.

Here is my question:

How do I identify which PS Box I have. There are numbers/codes cast into the steering box but which ones identify the early or late '91 unit?

Expert help is greatly appreciated as the seal kits are expensive and sometimes hard to find.

Thanks to millball who commented in the previously referenced post. He pointed me to the following link which shows a side-by-side comparison of the old/new steering box assemblies. I now know mine is the later model.
