Best way to clean up engine wire harness?

The engine wire harness looks dirty and some filth inside the connectors. I am thinking of using purple power concentrate mixture with water and soak it in a bucket. Or using electronics cleaner and spray the connectors to get rid of dirt, grime, etc. The engine wire harness is attached inside the engine bay, minus the engine itself, leaving a lot of empty space to work with the engine wire harness Any ideas on this issue? Comments, feedback, advice is greatly appreciated

purple power could cause some corrosion, I would thin the best answer is a soft brush and electronic cleaner, or possibly an alcohol solution, although that might not be the quickest solution its probably the better answer.

Maybe deoxit the connections and then protect them.
Clean with a damp rag, don't dunk it.

Next time leave everything attached to the engine. Pull the plug from the computer and lay it on the engine.

ev13wt and keycw, thank you both for your comments. I appreciated it.

I remembered that I did read somewhere about Purple Power can cause corrosion on the engine wire harness awhile back. I think it would be best to use Electronics Cleaner and wipe excessive moisture and dirt combine using a soft brush and rags to clean it up. Thanks again.
