Coolant coming up out of rad right after starting
I have a 1988 4Runner with 3.0
The other morning after it had been sitting all night, I started the engine and took the radiator off. Coolant immediately started flowing up out of the radiator neck.
I don’t suspect this is normal behavior for a cold engine. I recently replaced the heater valve so I’m wondering if I don’t have some air pockets in there. Not sure if that would even cause coolant to come out on a cold engine.
Or could it be a blown head gasket? I know the 3.0 are notorious for eating these up.
thanks in advance for any thoughts you could share.
