i took the early 90'ish prelude seats from the Trekker and put them in the 4runner. no pics of the brackets I made for the rear inside and outside mounts but they are pretty much bend some flat stock to work
The prelude seats have been great due to the adjustments they have
I believe 2nd gen 4runner mounting locations are pretty dang close to 1st gen 4runner and 2nd gen trucks

Several years ago I installed a set of 96'ish Prelude seats in the Trekker. I had replaced those with a set of suspension seats. Attempted to sell the Prelude seats and even tried to give them away..No luck, they sat in the garage for a few years. They are still in great shape so I busted out the tape measure.
busted out the tape measure...front mounts were 16.75" on the 4Runner seat
hmmm...Prelude seat front mounts are 16.75" Attachment 112070
i throw the seats in the 4Runner to test fit..the inside mount for the prelude mount of course hits the seat belt mount causing it to cock the seat at the wrong angle Attachment 112071 Attachment 112072
At first i thought about picking up some camry or corolla latches that would mount to the seat rail similar to the prelude latch. I was gonna have to make a mount to the inside rear corner any way, so I cut that sucker off and mount the seatAttachment 112073
pretty cool that the stock front mounts work perfect
outside rear mount will get extended tomorrow with some flat stock. Inside rear should be a simple 'L' bracket. Attachment 112074
it will end up being bolt in install..
Not a perfect match but i think it will work Attachment 112075 Attachment 112076
I will be able to finish the install in the morning

Anyone out there know what type of seats are close to fit for the T100? I'm 6'5" tall and the factory buckets just don't go back far enough. A little more comfort would be nice too. Thought about trying Tacoma TRD seats but haven't found any as of yet. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.

Still running the FJ80 rear springs..no real issues with the gas tank. Stock arms.
My plan is to convert to rear leaf springs at some point . I have all the stuff to do it but just not the time.
So yes I know I need to get off my butt and finish the dual case install but have been working on house junk (painting and getting ready to fill in our inground pool)
Anyway been debating replacing the Prelude seats I have had in 2 different trucks. I was going to convert them to heated seats but the Amazon kit I bought a couple of years ago was dead when I finally went to use it.
Pick n Pull has a 50% off sale this weekend.
Decided to cruise through there today to see what I could find as far as seats.
After looking through about 100 cars I ended up with a set of heated, power & leather seats out of a 2005 Subaru Outback. The front mounts measured about 16.5" center and center..same as the stock mounts.
Got them home, tested the motors, they worked great and powered up the heaters..got toasty warm which will be nice this fall.
Spent some time cleaning them up.
The passenger seat was already out of the 4runner for the dual case install. I was very happy to find that not only did the front two mounts line up but the outside rear mount was a dead ringer too!
I will have to cut the inside rear mount to make it work (as it is now it gives the seat a slight lean)
But for $45 for the seats and heated seats switches I am happy with them.
I will do a leather dye experiment on either a headrest or inside of the seat to see if I can get them gray.
The seats end up about 1" higher than the Prelude seats I have mounted into there now

The seats are in great shape, downside they are tan. For the price I paid a U-Pull It I figured i could experiment with the seats like i have pretty much done my whole driving life. In my Air Cooled V-Dub days I used vinyl dye several times, even on leather. Ordered a can of Charcoal Rustoleum on Amazon and shot one of the headrests with it.
3rd pic shows the tan against the stock door panel and the sprayed headrest again against stock vinyl.
It came out pretty good so decided to take the plunge and see how the passenger seat would come out. Doing several light coats and waiting awhile between each one it's looking pretty good.
ordered 4 more cans off amazon.
That should be enough to finish off the seats.
