New toy. Need ideas.

So I picked up this 89 5 spd 3.0. It runs. Needs a clutch master. But the biggest issue is the body damage. It was rolled onto its passenger side. The A pillar is so pinched the metal isn’t moving when I’m trying to pull it out. Been continplating just making it a convertible with a full cage. Don’t know. What do you all think? Also I live in Georgia.

I’m looking for donor windshield frame right now. So far no luck. But I’m going to keep looking.

Full-cage, convertible like you said and get it reliably and legally-running. I would not put too much energy, time, money, effort into a 3.0 like that. Even after you restore, the 3.0 is too tight in engine compartment, and too much trouble to work on. Simple, 22R-E is better.

Ya im looking at how to do a convertible with a street legal roll cage. Agreed about the 3.0 i have a spare 3.4 in my garage that was for my other 88 im building so i might throw that in once my 88 is done i just wanted to get this going cause it runs and drives and only needed a windshield to be back on the road. it has a 3 inch body lift along with a 4 in suspension lift. i have 510 gears in the other 4runner. ( its on my other post turning 3 4runners into 1) so i was thinking fix the windshield frame to hold a windshield put the 510s in it and drive it while im building my turbo 88 and once its done selling the 89. I just want one of the 3 4runners i have to be road worthy lol. one of these days maybe. if anyone knows where to find a cab or a roof skin that would be great. Been looking with no luck, only been looking for a week so i know there are more places to check but hopefully i find something. thanks for all the input guys/gals.
