85 4runner 22re to 3.4 swap

well ill start off by saying ˟˟˟˟ my life. i own an 85 4runner that i had to do a body swap on. after said body swap a buddy and i took out the 22re and put in a 3.4 out of a 97. every thing was fine until i let a guy i had working for me use it. he rolled it 6 times so i cut the roof off and used it to take the kids to the river. i finally found a straight rust free body again so i proceeded to do yet another body swap. i did not unplug anything from the engine its self, i just unplugged the harness and draped it over the motor. of course when i got it all put back together and plugged in i expected it to simply fire up. of course not. i had the harness done by a shop in north carolina. i can hear the fuel pump work and i got fuel to the engine but i cant seem to get any spark. at the moment i dont have access to a scanner or time to work on this damn thing for a few days. i assume its something simple so i figured id bounce it off of you guys. cam and crank sensors are connected all plugs are plugged in at ecu and all the grounds i can see are connected. im going to get a scanner and see what it has to say in a day or 2 but any ideas may be useful. thanks.

Found the post! So like I mentioned in my build thread, check the ground connections are clean of paint. Also, I assume that you confirmed that you have constant and switched power to the ECU?

i think all the grounds are hooked up. i got the obd2 2 wires grounded. where else dose the ecu ground? i had no power to the wire so i ran 12 v to the e5 #2 pin wicj is batt+ i also had no power to the Key hot so i ran a wire to it just to see. when i ran a key hot to the e5 12 pin it got hot in a hurry so i pulled it. not sure why it would over heat so fast other than im missing a ground??? it appears everthings hooked up. im about to call in a pro lol. i opened the ecu and saw no evidence of any problems. thanks for your reply.
