87 DLX front pass seat cable

Hi
anybody know where to buy the cable that operates front, passenger, seat to fold and then slide forward?
Its snapped.
Does the seat have to be removed from the car to replace cable?

1987 , 22RE, DLX, AT, PS, DAsh gauges, AC....decent shape...

thanks

There does not appear to be a separate part number for just the cable.

there's a How To thread somewhere, google is your friend. but, a Bike cable will suffice and yes the seat has to be removed.

Dont pay it! The plastic part comes apart. You can get cables with the same ends at a good bike shop. And you can get what’s called a cable stay at a good hardware store. I fixed mine for like $8.

And yes, you have to remove the seat and study how it works.
