Little flutter miss at 2200 rpm...
Like I said a real slight flutter at 2200 RPM I just put new plugs in Denso OEM plugs... new wires...
it only does it going downhill and just barely touching the throttle... give it gas or let off and it stops
any ideas?
will the TPS cause that?

I was about to tell him the engine needed to come out of his desoto, must have a smudge on my crystal ball!
He is indicating you left off pertinent information...
Like "I have a factory 22rte pushing 10psi supplied by a CT26 through an 82 supra vafm, I have a factory exhaust manifold or eBay tube...."
You also slacked off on the description of the issue. Are we talking heart flutter, flutter on a guage needle like maybe a vacuum guage or some sensation you get from the engine and picked that one word for a description..

Sorry about the lack of info...
1987 4runner 22rte
ct26 turbo @ 10lbs boost
2 1/2" exhaust open flow muffler
82 Supra AFM unmolested
tube turbo header
automatic transmission
the "flutter" is like a miss... with the motor,
it's so slight that you have to be on smooth highway to feel it (hard to find in Oklahoma)
It does it mostly at near neutral throttle going down hill on, longer sloping hills where your not really lifting off the gas, but not really accelerating either... its just has this... well HAD this slightly noticeable, barely discernable little hesitation or burp that felt like miss... you couldn't hear any change in exhaust rhythm or sound of a miss it's so minimal... but you can feel it...
I've done so much work and had so many issues in trying to get exhaust header, header to turbo, turbo wastegate to downpipe, and collector al not leaking or blowing out gaskets that the ECU is bound to be confused, and agitated... wondering what fuel ratio adjustments will i have to make today? ( will this guy give me a break?) If a ECU could talk I'm sure I'd get a good tongue lashing... lol
anyway i think finally being able to be driven long enough, with a few starts and the chance to actually calibrate and absorb some consistent conditions...
the ECU has finally been able to supply the adjusted fuel that meets the requirements for my setup and driving conditions (altitude, temp, moisture, etc.)
i also was fighting and had been fighting an ongoing problem with moisture causing bigtime misfiring...
I suspected distributor but could never actually see any moisture when I'd inspect the inside of the distributor cap...
my nephew runs a local O'Reilly and said he fought moisture till he sprayed all his electric connections, plug wires, distributor cap inside and out... with wire dry, a spray on product that prevents moisture or seals connections from being compromised by moisture... maybe this was also part of the problem because yesterday i carefully, meticulously sprayed every possible connector, wire, electrical component that could possibly have or cause an issue with moisture...
So, for now the "flutter" is gone... we'll see with more miles, different conditions, different gas, if it stays away or returns...
thank you for being willing to help...

By the way Col 94 pu... this thing is freaking amazing! It screams... ran it up to 100mph yesterday on an open, flat, lonely highway (we have lots of those here in Oklahoma) no one else around
i never dreamed of hitting 100 mph in a 4runner with a 22re motor... it was still climbing I just backed off because i wanted to hit 100...
In traffic in okc last evening I'm sure more than one bmw, or Silverado pickup thought, what the heck does that thing have in it... so much fun to drive...
looking forward to playing in some dirt and climbing a few hills... maybe even a trip to colorado to do some mountain trails... thank you for your help
operating temp stays at 190... getting nearly 20 mpg!
looking at building a small custom intercooler, and getting a EGT gauge to track the turbo temps...
