Flutter in engine compartment

Hi all,

Before I start putting some time, effort, and money into this, I'd like a few opinions.

2001 4Runner SR5 4x4, 52,000 miles, all stock, wife and kid's ride.

Recently starting noticing a loud "fluttering" coming from the front of the motor. It's loudest when cold, sound level goes down some after warm, but still there. I put some soap on the belt, didn't change. Tried some belt dressing (tacky spray) after, didn't change.

My question to all of you is what do you think I should check next?

Sorry if it's a simple problem, I'm used to working on old trucks that can be fixed with a BFH and duct tape. The damn motor is so clean I'm afraid to put my dirty tools on it let alone lean on the beautiful thing.

Still might be a loose belt and it doesn't sound like it is slipping so soap and belt dressing wouldn't do much. I would just tighten up the 3 belts (AC, Alt, PS) and see if the flutter doesn't go away.
