Bench seat for my 80

So I picked up a bench seat off of Craigslist for a six pack of beer. Put a cheap seat cover on it to cover the duct tape sticky. Putting it in tonight.
I have never seen one with the center tray, was it an option.

See the tray.

My 81 Deluxe had that tray in it. Don't know if it was an option or not. Others may chime in on that.

The original bench seat in our '83 Deluxe had that little tray thing. We now have bucket seats & the console out of a '94 4Runner in the '83--much more comfortable!

Yup, my '82 had the same bench with the tray.

Anyone know if you can get replacement foam and seat cover material? I have looked, but found nothing, next option would be an upholstery shop.

Upholstery shop is probably your best bet. I've seen custom fit covers on ebay, but never really seen custom fit foam anywhere.

Go to an upholstery shop especially if you need foam added. I kind of doubt you could find a generic seat cover for these little bench seats. I had mine redone with fabric and vinyl after powder coating the whole frame.

It was a sixer of Rainer Tall Boys, so noting but the best.

Yeah, I will take it in, just curious, how much did yours cost to get done?

Vitamin R!!!! Keep us posted on the outcome. I'll need to get mine redone when my rig is closer to being finished.

I do upholstery and have been thinking about running off a batch of covers, what colors and fabrics would be of interest? Original fabrics will be tough if not impossible to come by, color matching would be tough to unless a sample was sent then your only going to get so close. I have the patterns for the 83 bench seat so I could whip those up pretty quick.
