22R chirping under load

Hello everyone,
i recently purchased a 1981 toyota hilux 4x4 with a 22r.
Ive been driving it daily with no issues, but ive noticed an abnormal chirping souns that seems to persist mainly in 3rd and 4th only when the engine is under load. It seems to be most pronounced at lower rpm, and completely dissapears if i let off the gas. Its a consistent chirp with a consistent rythm. Im no mechanic.. but my first guess would be a belt or pully.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I hope im not doing any harm by driving it, and crossing my fingers its something minor.

Thanks!

Pop the belts off and see if the pulleys all spin smooth and free or if they have any resistance. Could also be a vacuum leak. Make sure all your hoses are seated and don't have any holes in them and any disconnected ports are capped.
It's anyone's guess. Just have to dig in. Can you hear it at all while it's idling and the hood is open?

A long time ago my 81 was chirping and it turned out to be the idler pulley bearing, that might be a start. You might check the water pump bearings by removing the belts and move the fan at the base, checking for any wobble. Any accessories also while the belts are off. A loose grille or headlight bezels has a habit of making sounds similar to chirping. As said before, the hood latch is rattling and needs adjustment or greasing the loop. Greaseable shackles and new bushing are always a good upgrade.

Hope you find it and report back for future reference.

Ill have to dig into it and have a good look.
it doesnt chip at idle. Only under load , and it louder the more gas i give it.
The water pump is new, but ill have a look at the other pulley bearing.
Considering its more pronounced when more throttle is applied, maybe it is a vacuum line.

Ill keep you updated.
