Trail Gear T case problems. Won’t shift into four low

Bought a new complete single transfer case 4.7 with adapter for my 89 v6. Before install I noticed I couldn’t get it into four low. Finally after a few hours it went in. Then getting it out was the same process. Trail gear said they reset them all before shipping. I figured well it went so maybe after some gear oil gets in there it will loosen up. Got the whole thing installed and went into four low with a fair amount of effort. But then it would not no matter what I did come out. 45 minutes of messing with it and slowly moving back and forward it went. It’s in 2wd now will shift into four high easy. But I’m just frustrated that a new built transfer case sent complete is doing this. Has anyone experienced this issue? It’s not the prodruding shift rail with the hook. That’s the 2 and four high said and was sanded down. I do not obviously want to take everything apart and send it back. Any advice would be appreciated.

I know its more work, but if it were me I'd pull it and send it back. If you mess with it too much they might not accept it.

T case

I did. I just took it back out and sent it back in. They picked it up the next day said they’d put all new parts in it. Frustrating but customer service was damn good.
