I have a ‘88 pickup, I was wondering if a 93 vol 2 manual that covers; electrical, chassis, body and spec; and a 94 vol 1 manual that covers engine, would be OK to use for a ‘88 4x4 pickup. If not I’ll be willing to trade three manuals; ‘99 vol 2, ‘94 vol 1 and ‘93 vol 2. In trade for a complete ‘88 Toyota factory manual.

That will not work for most parts.

I have 3vze engine, would the 94 that covers the engine be good? I’m not having matianence problems, just thinking ahead. I did use the 93 manual to rebuild the locking hubs and front wheel bearings.

What he said. Some things may be same/similar, others will not be.

Red face

Depends what your trying to do the wrong year can be so frustrating !!

Maybe the engine one.

You know your three different volumes are not worth a complete 88 FSM.

Keep watching ebay when one for the 88 comes up grab it.
Given the choice I would rather just have the EWD

the 1988 3.0 was the 1st year of the 3VZE and there are some specific issues that apply to the engine that don't apply to other years
