can i do a 5 speed from a later model like 98 ls400 or other type Lexus ?[auto] swap or should i do a 4 speed auto . I have done the 91 pick up 1uzfe with inch worm adapt and marlin 23 spline input for t-case.. will there be oil pan issues and what adapter do i need for adapting the trans to t-case ? The land cruises has a auto and i am putting in a auto, Need wisdom before doing,

 

I don't have direct experience with the LC or the 5 speed trans, but logic in my mind would be you'd need the ECU that controls the 5 speed, and it will need to be able to run the v8 engine. If the 5 speed trans is from a UZ series engine, it should physically fit the engine.

 

Subscribing to this since I too will be doing the exact same thing. I know nothing about the swap but couldn't pass up a deal for $3700 roller with everything ready to drop in.
