Wanting to Re-Do Door Panels Custom

94 Hilux Extra Cab - My speakers were mounted a lil funky, door panels sorta hanging funky. I'm thinking of getting new material and rewrapping these things while correctly mounting the speakers. Probably perf the panels instead of using speaker grills. Anyone else re-did door panels? I'd like to see pics. How did it come out? What was the biggest challenge?

I have never done anything with my door panels because mine are still in good shape.

But, I bookmarked this thread if the occasion ever came up: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...panels-256546/

There are no speakers with those door panels, but might give you some ideas. Someone else probably has a thread making door panels with speakers.

Gregos thread is about the best I have seen on here. Finding the correct fabric may be getting hard to find. I was at my local interior shop and it may not be Toyota fabric but you can still get 90's style fabric for a good price that is quite similar.

After asking around locally at the stereo stores and upholstery shops, I've learned that perforated door panels are done by hand. Bummer. I didn't want to do them. Well, as a Photoshop user I figured I'd use the program to precisely design my perforations in the door panels. Below is the low-res web image. Naturally I'll be working from a high-res image as a template which I will first stamp out with hole punches on the backside of an aluminum "No Trespassing" sign.

Perforation pattern for vinyl over speakers.
