For everybody's convenience and quick reference, how about we post ACTUAL locations P/N, ID, and other pertinent info in this THREAD?
We can have A POST for each year-model, that O.P. can keep updated as more information becomes available.

First-Gen 22R-E Power Distribution: Main Engine Compartment Fuse Block
Headlight relay, main fuses and fuses for hazard, horn, headlight, charge,
80-Amp fusible link module is held by screws. Accessible from underneath the fuse block. Need to un-mount the whole fuse block, then remove the Fusible Link housing from the fuse block in order to access the bolts that holds the FL module. There's a tab that needs to be pushed aside to release. (Terrys87 has info on that.)
Here's what entire FL wire look like. (Yes, it looks lie some amateur made it, but it is what it is.) DO NOT EVER "UPGRADE" THIS TO BIGGER SIZE WIRE.

My horn is`nt working,no current to horn. can`t find a fuse or relay.
Newbeee here just aquired a 86 4x4 that I want to give a new life.
Welcome to the forum. We are happy to help but expect people to do their homework, search a little.
This thread has information to help people find fuses, relays, etc. Did you read read the thread?
Did you search the forum for "horn troubleshooting"?
How did you know there is no "current" to horn? You must have a multi-meter then? If so, that's a good start to bringing your truck back to life. We love seeing that.

Been reading at least 30 min to 1 hr each eve. There is lots an lots info here.

I've been reading up on my fuse/electrical diagrams, etc, but I haven't really found the answers I need. My very recently purchased '88 4Runner(22re) randomly developed a problem out of nowhere. I was driving around with some beautiful women (because that's just what happens when you drive a 1st Gen with the top off!) and when I turned on my blinker my wipers stopped mid sweep. They are locked in place and my horn no longer works. Also, when I use my signals the tape player briefly cuts out and my dash makes a weird rattle when I apply the bakes and signal simultaneously.
I bought a fuse replacement kit with a tester and all fuses are good in driver's kick and the engine fuse compartment. I am guessing it is a relay, but I am really only guessing. This isn't my forte.

Ensure all connections from battery to blue-yellow wire have bare, shiny metal tightly contacting bare shiny metal.
Get multi-meter, monitor voltage at Blue-Yellow (L-Y) wire that goes to horn (That also supplies "radio "memory"). While you wiggle ALL connections between that and the battery. Voltage should stay above 12V.
Let us know what you find out.
Here's the starter relay for 1990 (my manuals don't go back to 1989 sadly).
And here's page 16 that shows where the junction box is located, same location as you described.
The starter relay stayed in that spot in 1991, and then moved location for 92-95 for under the hood. Starter relay on the older gen was bolted to the passenger side inner fender if I recall correctly if the truck came with the relay, some the starter solenoid powered directly off the ignition switch I think.
And again, location info from page 18.
Also FYI, EFI and Carb'ed 22R's were not depandent on year, I've read carb was an option up to 1995. Pretty sure the first EFI was 1986. I've had both carb and EFI pickups from 1986 and 1987. Manual doesn't seem to mention the starter relay location having any location difference for EFI vs Carb, or USA vs Canada.

Pull out out either Ignition or engine fuse.
Find side of socket that that gets 12V only when IGN is on. (Other side, the load side will not have voltage with fuse removed).
Plug Add-a-fuse into stock socket.
Put original fuse in lower socket of Add-a-fuse
Put fuse for new circuit in upper socket of Add-a-fuse.
Use added fused circuit only to control a relay or to power very light load, like a glove box LED light.
I’m having trouble finding out why my truck starts then dies. I’ve replaced the following.. VAFM, COR, fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, plug wires, air filter ( just throwing it out there ).. now I have been told that it may be some wiring or some fuses/ relays. I’ve check the visible fuses under the hood and side panels, they looked good. I’ve done research on some relays and have a multimeter haven’t checked every single one so I came on here to see if any of you guys ran across this problem or know some pointers thanks * this is my daily and need this bad boy to get going.
Honestly, Eugene, this thread is to show/tell people just where to locate specific fuses and relays of our trucks.
I'm in no way a moderator, nor have any say what goes in this forum, but I really think you would do better to start a new thread in the regular part of this forum. This thread isn't really intended for people to post general troubles. If you figure out WHICH fuse or relay is giving you trouble, looking at the schematics, let us say, this thread is to let you know just where in your truck that fuse or relay might be found.
