I found a rebuilt 1983 22r and wanted to put it in my 1987 22r. i just want to know what the differences between these 2 motors are. Block size, intakes, sensors and the like.

Meaning all the front engine parts are different Water pump, Oil pump Timing chain and cover.

If you have the complete running engine just swap your engine harness and all your sensors .

You should be good to go.

I am not sure if you have to change to your newer carb or not.
