Looks like a clean truck, and honestly if he could get that it means my truck value is higher than i think.

But honestly i dont know how he spent the reported $60k. Or why anyone would do that to a standard cab hilux. Powder coated leafs? Because they're so well known for rusting through? What a kook.

Can't imagine anyone paying over $15k for that. More like 10. Thanks for sharing.

I used to suffer delusions about the value of my stuff, but I take a pill for that now.

I cant see it costing that much unless he has someone to do all the work for it and I guess that could add up.

In the late '70s I worked on a lawsuit where a GM truck got T-boned at 60mph. The stock fuel tank was crushed almost flat, but did NOT leak. The "auxiliary" tank (a welded steel box, much like the one glued under our seller's bed) was flung off spraying gasoline everywhere.

The pickup driver survived, but was so badly burned that when I met him I could not tell what race he was.

The people who design real fuel tanks know what they are doing, and they don't make steel boxes.

I would not want to use that reciever hitch for some heavy pulling. Looks like a lot of cheap work was done to it to me.
