I am in need of leaf springs for my 93 t100 4x4 regular cab and i have heard rumor that the 98 tacoma leaf springs will fit im looking for someone who knows if i can do this swap without serious modifications like driveshaft adjustments i want the tacoma springs because they are cheaper and have 4 leafs instead of the 3 leaf replacement springs for the t100 any input or help is appreciated thank you
Thank you for your input i think im gonna go with the direct fit springs for the t100 i need springs asap the truck is my work truck and i cant load it down like i need to so i want a hassle free install what do you think about the add a leaf kits? Would that be an effective method to beef up the springs later?
... the truck is my work truck and i cant load it down like i need to ...
The T100 is a "1/2 Ton truck." It's not just the springs; it's the brakes, the steering, the transmission, the frame, etc. If you get in an accident carrying more than the manufacturer okays, you'll be in a heap of trouble, no matter what you do to the springs. Particularly if you're carrying that load as part of your work!
If you actually need to carry more than your T100 is designed for, you should consider getting a truck that can do it.
