Doing a gear swap and have some ?

Ive done a couple clutches, head gasket and a bunch of other misc fixes. Putting 5.29 gears in a v6 8" rear and 7.5" ifs front. work in a machine shop so have a good idea about what im getting my self into. Need some clarification on somethings though.

Got the tools needed and ready. From the research Ive done a lot of it has people pulling the whole front diff. I am wondering if the front diff can be left in place?

Also does the 93 have a crush sleeve or a solid adapter?

With the rear diff, do the rear wheels and drums need to come off to move axle shafts farther into rear diff to unclip then slide back out a bit to remove rear carrier or can carrier be removed without doing that.

You can do it with the front diff in place, but why? your so close just pull it out, will be much easier.

For the rear, Its a semi floating. No clips. the drum/wheelbearing/ axle shaft are held in with 4 bolts and can be pulled out as a whole (and need to be pulled out to get the diff out)

Soild spacers are a aftermarket option. All factory diffs will have the crush sleeve.

Nice, thanks for info. My backs jacked up right now so wasnt looking forward to wrestling with the whole diff. May have to lure a buddy with some cold liquids to help.
